Electric Violin Labs
About | Electric Violin Labs

Pedagogy,
meet performance.

We bridge classical training, modern sound design, and an accessible approach to music technology — so every electric string player can create their signature sound.

"When musicians understand the technology behind their sound, they unlock a new level of creativity. It's not just about gear. It's about freedom of expression."
— Dr. Jess Ingrassellino, Founder

Electric Violin Labs was founded by professional educator and performer Jess Ingrassellino to bridge classical training, modern sound design, and an accessible approach to music technology. Whether you're teaching an ensemble, recording at home, or performing on stage, understanding your instrument, your technique, and your gear unlocks creative freedom — saving you time and money while giving you full control of your artistry.

We blend STEM and the arts to reveal how engineering and physics shape the expressive potential of electric strings. Every workshop, guide, and course connects musical creativity with technical understanding in clear, practical language with hands-on guidance.

A passionate believer in accessibility and lifelong learning, Jess has led teams, written music and technical curricula, and mentored professionals across education and engineering. Holding advanced degrees across music education (B.S., EdM, EdD), software engineering (MSSE), and business (E-MBA), she created Electric Violin Labs to bring all these worlds together.
